Science Fair 2025

On the 3rd and 4th of June Glenroy College welcomed primary students into the STEM block to participate in various interactive science experiences, such as making a model cell from lollies, testing their senses, paper chromatography and making balloon rocket cars.

This was out 12th annual fair which helps form bonds with the local primary schools and allows the students to not feel to daunted at progressing into secondary school. This year we were fortunate to welcome students and staff from Fawkner Primary, Glenroy Central Primary and Dallas Brooks Primary. They all seemed to have a great time and left with huge smiles on their faces and full bellies , after the Lions club kindly cooked a sausage sizzle lunch and the welfare team put on delicious hot chocolates in our café.

SCOE Centre of Excellence

Get your motor running 2025

In June 2025 our year 7 students ventured to SCOE (STEM Centre of Excellence) which is part of Melbourne University. Here they are able to use their knowledge of forces to construct a small motor and then design and construct a Formula E car.

After much creativity they were able to race the cars down a track to find the best designed and the fastest. Congratulations to all involved and special mentions to the wonderful designs voted by the SCOE mentors : Aisha’s group, Marjan’s group and Khoder.
