Year Two News 

This week in Writing, students have been developing important narrative writing skills in preparation for their Writer's Festival pieces. We have been brainstorming exciting story ideas, identifying interesting problems and possible solutions, and learning how these elements help create engaging narratives. Students are looking forward to using these ideas as they begin planning their narratives for the Writer's Festival.

In Reading, we have been exploring the different sounds the letter 'c' can make, including the /k/ and /s/ sounds. Students have also been learning our new tricky word, "remember," and practising recognising and using it in their reading and writing.

In Mathematics, students have been building their understanding of multiplication by practising the 10 times tables and 5 times tables. They have been using a range of strategies and hands-on activities to strengthen their confidence and fluency with multiplication facts.
