Foundation (Preps)
Prep have been working really hard this term! We have continued to develop our understanding of number and counting by using role play and sensory play. We have loved making train stations and adding more carriages. In Phonics, we have been learning the sound ‘f’ using our mirrors, buttons and playdough, it is so much fun learning about Felix Frog. In our outdoor area, Prep have loved exploring our transformation station and enjoy practising mixing, stirring, pouring and squeezing using the different tools. Great work Prep!
Foundation (Year 1 - Year 2)
We’ve been engaging in lots of cooking activities as part of our language experience for writing and beginning sound in Phonics. Students have enjoyed making brownies, honey joys, biscuits, and more. In numeracy, the 1/2 classes have been developing their subtraction skills with one of our favourite characters, Pete the Cat. We are all looking forward to continuing the fun and learning for the remainder of the term.
Lower Primary (Years 3-4)
In Health, Lower Primary students have been learning about different types of food, safe food handling, and how to follow simple recipes. They’ve enjoyed making and tasting a variety of foods. Most recently, students baked cheese damper, it was a fun and delicious experience for everyone!
