Reminders for Families

Mobile Device Acceptable Use Agreement
Families are reminded that if students carry a mobile phone, smart watch, or similar device to and from school (for use outside school hours only), the Mobile Device Acceptable Use Agreement must be signed.
The Agreement is available via Compass Events (Action Centre). All students who bring a mobile device to school must have a signed parent/student agreement and store their device in accordance with the Agreement.
Discourage Hot Lunch Delivery
We will no longer accept special lunch deliveries to school. This includes:
- hot lunches/'snacks (e.g. home cooked or fast food)
- chilled lunches/snacks (e.g yoghurts, sushi or subway)
This change is intended to reduce interruptions to classroom, support smoother operations, and promote a healthier, more consistent lunchtime environment for all.
We kindly encourage you to send lunch with your child each morning.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work together to provide the best learning environment possible for all students.
Sunsmart Reminder
Welcome back to Term 1! We remind families that the sun protection times are currently in operation. Students are required to wear a school hat when they go outside at school.
Please check the daily local sun protection times to see when you need to be SunSmart. The sun protection times are a forecast from the Bureau of Meteorology for the time of day UV levels are forecast to reach 3 or higher in your location. At these levels, sun protection (hat, clothing, sunscreen, shade and, if practical, sunglasses) is recommended for all skin types.
Sun protection times are available via:
- the free SunSmart app
- the free SunSmart widget (available on the schol website)
- the Bureau of Meteorology website's UV and sun protection page
- MyUV
So when outdoors, check the sun protection times and use sun protection accordingly. For more information for families please check out https://www.sunsmart.com.au/communities/parents
Mindful behaviour when parking in a residential area
Parents/guardians are kindly asked to respect private residential properties when parking in and around the school vicinity.
For example:
- Do not block residential driveways, footpaths, or nature strips
- Park only in permitted areas and observe all parking signs and time limits
- Avoid parking across bins, mailboxes, or access points
- Be mindful of pedestrian safety, particularly children and residents
We thank you for your assistance to ensure the safetly of the Lyndhurst community.
