Founder's Day

Each year, Founder’s Week is a special time for the St Pius X College community to celebrate its identity and mission as a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice tradition. It is a chance to reflect on where the school has come from in order to understand where it is heading, strengthening both pride and connection across the student body.

Friday began with a wonderful Founder’s Day Mass held at Oxford Falls. The liturgy set a reflective and meaningful tone for the day, grounding the celebrations in faith and tradition. Following the Mass, the community came together for a day filled with performance, house spirit, and friendly competition.

It was a day that truly highlighted community, with students supporting one another across events and showing strong engagement in all aspects of the celebrations. The Year 12 lip sync competition was a particular highlight, bringing energy and enthusiasm to the stage and adding to a day that balanced fun with a genuine sense of unity and school pride.

Chewing Gum at School: What You Need to Know

Students are reminded that chewing gum is strictly banned at the college and must not be brought onto school grounds. While it may seem harmless, gum can create unnecessary mess, damage school property, and increase cleaning costs.

To maintain a clean and respectful environment for everyone, the school enforces a clear policy: any student found with chewing gum will receive a Friday afternoon detention. This rule applies at all times during the school day and on all school premises.

We ask all students to respect this and help keep our college a tidy and welcoming place.
