Year 2 children wear uniform and bring their own lunch as usual. Year 1 students have a special incursion on the Friday morning ‘Wilbur’s Wildlife’ which links with next our Unit of Inquiry. You may pick up your child early at 10.45am (following the incursion, prior to recess) or 12.45pm (prior to lunch).
Home Inquiry
Have a look at playgrounds in your area. Take photos and send them in so we can compare aspects that your child likes about the playground and aspects that they don’t like. These ideas will lead into our next Unit of Inquiry investigations.
Reading: We encourage your child to read every night for 10-15 minutes. Please listen to your child read the decodable books and ask the ‘check for understanding’ questions at the back. Once you have read the ‘decodable book’ 2 or 3 times, please send it back with the recording sheet.
The ‘Interest books' with coloured round stickers on the front may need to be read together.
