Showcase

Our annual music celebration concert – Showcase – was held on Friday 24 October at Robert Blackwood Hall at Monash University. 

Prep Reflections

We loved seeing the audience and the rainbow lights. It was cool hearing A-P-T and the Marimbas. Going through the tunnel was fun and dark. We can’t wait to learn all the instruments now! Thank you Miss Rose.

Year 2 Reflections

Shariq, 2BC  –  When I played the drums I was so happy and I really liked being next to my friend Pio. 

 

Hridhaan, 2BC  –  I felt nervous. I liked the singing part, singing and hearing other people sing. 

 

Andrea, 2BC  –  My experience was crazy because I was almost late and I was on stage first and I was the last one to get tuned. The floor was very slippery, but the good thing was I liked being in the audience. I liked singing Octopus’ Garden better than the cello because the floor was way too slippery. I liked it and it was fun. 

 

Sia, 2F  –  I liked when other people played songs that I know. I liked when we got to go on the stage. I wanted to sing in front of my parents, but they couldn’t get a seat.

 

Weiqi, 2F  –  I liked singing. I liked hearing other people sing because I really like to sing and I like seeing other people sing. 

 

Owen, 2F  –  My favourite part was sitting with Lois. I liked seeing other people do drums and stuff. It was fun. 

 

Emilia, 2G  –  I felt really excited and a little bit nervous too. I really enjoyed the songs and it was actually quite nice. I really think Showcase is better than dance because dance is a little bit boring, but I really like Showcase. When I started to sing it was actually quite nice. 

 

Timo, 2G  –  I felt happy. I liked it. I had a great experience. 

 

Luke, 2G  –  When I did Showcase I felt a little bit nervous and happy at the same time. I enjoyed the rest of it and I really enjoyed singing Octopus’ Garden. I really liked it when the Preps sang Ask An Axolotl. 

 

Sophie, 2H  –  It was so fun and I liked singing the Octopus’ Garden and listening to lots of songs. 

 

Damian, 2H  –  It was fun. My favourite part was when I got to sing. I felt happy and excited.

 

Viola, 2H  –  I was a bit excited and also a bit nervous. Also I felt a bit happy. It was fun. I saw my parents there and it was a pretty nice day.

Showcase was professionally recorded by Qantem Multimedia. Orders for a recording of Showcase 2025 on USB ($35) or MP4 File ($25) are now open, and will close on Friday 14 November at midnight.

Order delivery is expected by Friday 21 November. The MP4 File link will be emailed directly to the email address supplied when ordering, and USBs will be delivered directly to school for distribution.
