Australian Mathematics Competition 2025
Congratulations to all students who participated in the Australian Mathematics Competition in August. This competition provides an excellent opportunity for students to challenge their problem-solving and reasoning skills.
Thank you to parents for your patience as we await the arrival of the official certificates, which are expected in the next couple of weeks. Students who achieved Distinctions and High Distinctions will also be recognised at an upcoming assembly (date to be announced).
Not all schools take part in the AMC, and among those that do, some enter only selected students while others offer the opportunity to all interested participants. We are proud of every Essex Heights student who took on the challenge this year.
A special congratulations to Lucas Z (Year 5), who received the Prize Award in addition to the Best in School Award. The Prize Award is presented to no more than one student for every 300 students within a region and year group, an outstanding achievement.
Below are the students who received Distinctions and High Distinctions.
A Distinction is awarded to a student who is in the top 20% of their year and region and has received no higher award.
A High Distinction is awarded to a student who is in the top 3% of their year and region and has received no higher award.
