We know Halloween can bring all sorts of feelings. Parenting stress around cost and sustainability - we won’t even mention overindulgence in sugar.

Calm the Halloween angst on sustainability at least. Let's swap & scare this year.
It’s the right type of spooky vibe this Halloween - Swap, don’t shop!!
Instead get involved in Ripponlea’s Spook & Swap Costume Exchange.
Pass on pre-loved costumes, reduce waste, and make dressing up easy and affordable.
Eerily Eco-friendly!
WHERE: In the Barbunnin during Lunch time.
WHEN: Early to Mid-October. Both dates coming soon.
HOW IT WORKS:
Bring a costume to school. We will note your child's name and class. On the day your child will receive a token.
Your child takes the token to the Barbunnin at lunch and they exchange the token for their new costume.
Here’s what to do NOW…
Sort through your Halloween Costumes over the next week or two.
Last year's vibe, too small or unused - It’s time to let it go & get it out your home.
Get it ready and just hold for a hot little minute.
We will let you know when to bring it into school and posters will be around the school.
Let your child know Sustainability leaders will be coming around to remind and PROMOTE why this is such a great thing to give the environment a breather this Halloween.
NOTES FOR PARENTS ON COSTUMES:
- Costume must be washed and in good ready to scare order.
- Costume must be on a hangar - labelled if you want hangar returned or will be donated to
- Accessories attached securely to the costume.
- Costume must be clearly labelled with size detail.
If you do not have a costume to swap.
Thats ok - gold coin on the day for a costume however only if there are costumes left after EXCHANGE.
Any left-over costumes will be offered to Production Team and then to a local pre-loved shop.
