Netball Championships

Last Friday, our after school netball team travelled to Melbourne to compete in the School Netball Championships at the State Netball centre in Parkville. Being such a young team, we chose to play in the non competitive pool which had no finals.

This was still a huge challenge for our team, however they showed tremendous resilience and team work to compete. Over our 6 games, we won 4, tied 1 and lost 1.

All girls showed vast improvement in their game and excited for the challenge they faced ahead next year in the competitive pools, which consist of some of the biggest private schools in Victoria.

Goal scores for the day:

Baylee 21

Chelsea 15

Maeve 5

Alana 1

A huge thank you to Reagan Fulford for volunteering her time to umpire all day!

Carla Baker and Stacey Gilbert for scoring all day too.

Wednesday Night Netball

We are 2 games into our Term 3 competition.

The team has started well winning both games against Lumen and St Pats, teams which we lost to last term.

The improvement and team work has been outstanding, especially in our last game against St Patricks, coming back from 7-5 down at 3 quarter time, to win 9-11!

Goal scores were Baylee 5 (all in the last quarter), Chelsea 5 and Alana 1.

Lumen scores were 12-16. Goal scorers Baylee 13 & Chelsea 3.

This Wednesday, we play St Francis Xavier at 4:55.

5/6 Winter Basketball

We had such an amazing time at our Winter Basketball competition last Friday! The teams all competed well, and one of our teams managed to win 2 out of their 3 games. It was a fantastic day with a lot of laughs and celebrations! Well done for representing our school and consistently showing our school values!

Thank you to Nick Franc and Kate Tiley for helping throughout the day and to our wonderful secondary school helpers!

We couldn't have done it without you!
