Foundation Students celebrating 100 days of school!

A big thank you to all our Foundation families for helping make our 100 Days of School celebration such a special and memorable event!

The students looked fantastic in their outfits and impressed us all with how confidently they read their sentences on stage during assembly. It was a proud moment for everyone to see their growing confidence and communication skills in action.

Throughout the day, students engaged in a range of fun and educational activities, including counting to 100 by ones, fives, and tens, and singing songs all about the number 100. They reflected on their first 100 days of school and made their own fairy bread with 100's and 1000's!

Reaching this milestone is a wonderful achievement, and it was lovely to hear students reflect on their journey so far and share some of their favourite school memories.

Thank you again for your ongoing support — we look forward to many more exciting milestones ahead!

Swim/Gym

Our first two Swim/Gym sessions have been absolutely fantastic! The students are thoroughly enjoying themselves and proudly demonstrating our school values throughout each session.

Just a friendly reminder: students should come to school wearing their bathers underneath their school t-shirt and jumper. For boys, this means wearing their swimming shorts or trunks under their school pants. Thank you for your continued support in helping these sessions run smoothly!

The dates left for Swim/Gym are:

  • Friday 15th August
  • Friday 22nd August
  • Friday 29th August

Literacy - Mentor Text

We have begun our work on our mentor text for the term: The Paper Bag Princess.  Students have discussed and explored terminology and vocabulary in preparation for reading the text. There was a lot of fun had demonstrating and exploring words such as princess, magnificent, tangled, ashes and fierce. Students have used illustrations to make predictions about the text.
