Watercolour Landscapes with Oriana Teasdale
Monday 13 April
Learn to layer a landscape in watercolour with this hands-on painting workshop! Led by local artist Oriana Teasdale, kids will take inspiration from exhibitions at SAM, discovering everything from washes of colour to creating texture to make their own unique watercolour painting. Creativity comes to you in SAM Camp: Picasso on the Road!We're heading back out to Kialla Central and Congupna Community Centre with a SAM Van-load of art activities to keep kids busy and creative these school holidays. Wonky Pot Painting

Get glazing and decorate your own weird and wonderful wonky pots in this hands-on workshop! Kids will explore ceramics from the SAM Collection for inspiration before diving into decorating their own pre-made pot, experimenting with colours and shapes to produce their own uniquely designed ceramic. This workshop is suitable for kids aged 5-12. All participants must be accompanied by an adult. Program details:

Spin It! Intro to Wheel-ThrowingFriday 17 April
Get behind the wheel in this exciting pottery workshop for teens! Over two hours, participants will learn the basics of working with clay on a pottery wheel, experimenting with forming simple vessels to fire in the kiln.Ceramics can be very messy — participants are encouraged to bring a towel and wear clothing they don't mind getting dirty.
