GAT

Well done to all of our senior students who completed the GAT last Tuesday. This important general knowledge test measures and verifies student performance and consistency and is undertaken by all senior students in Victoria.

Thank you to Kellie Felmingham for her organisation of this assessment, which is particularly complex given our size. Thank you also to all staff involved in supervising which makes this process as smooth as possible.

EXAMINATIONS

Congratulations to our Years 10 and 11 students who have now completed their end of semester exams. Our students undertook these exams with motivation and commitment, and I wish them the best with their results.

EAST CAMPUS CONCERT

The East Campus Concert was held on Thursday 19 June in the East Campus Gymnasium. The concert featured performances by all the Years 8 and 9 ensembles, including the Year 8 Strings and Bands, Ovenden Band, Keenan Strings, World Music Ensembles (East and McKinnon Road groups), East choir, Years 8 & 9 Percussion ensembles, and the Junior Stage Band to wind up the evening.

The event was a wonderful celebration of hard work and determination by some of the most accomplished musicians in the McKinnon community, culminating in a very enjoyable and entertaining evening.

Thank you to Megan Papworth for overseeing the organisation of the concert, the AV and facilities teams, ensemble directors and all music staff.
