Aussie of the Month

Congratulations to our June Aussie of the Month  Luna Quin

Aussie of the Month is awarded to a student each month that demonstrates the qualities of fairness, mateship, respect and inclusion.

This student is recognised by both staff and peers as a kind, generous and thoughtful person who approaches every day with quiet confidence and genuine care for those around them.

Teachers admire their dedication to learning, excellent work ethic and willingness to lend a helping hand without ever needing to be asked. Classmates know they are someone who can be counted on to work sensibly, have fun and always make others feel welcomed and encouraged.

This student embraces every opportunity to contribute to our school community. Whether it be participating in school sport, extending herself in academics or taking on leadership roles, she does so with humility, maturity and a calm, positive attitude.

She leads by example, showing that leadership is not about being the loudest in the room, but about lifting others up and doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.

They are a wonderful role model whose kindness, integrity and willingness to give their best make them a truly deserving recipient of this month’s Year 4 Aussie of the Month award. Congratulations.

At GRPS we believe it is important to acknowledge students that are actively contributing to our community in a positive way and are consistently demonstrating our school values of respect, responsibility and a learner.

This award recognises students who consistently demonstrate excellence across all areas of school life—both academically and personally. It celebrates students who make a positive difference to their school community every single day.

Bawi Tha is a wonderful example of what this award represents. Earlier this year, he was elected by his classmates as 3A's Junior School Council representative, showing the respect and trust his peers have in him. He has also been nominated many times by his classmates for Student of the Week because they describe him as kind, friendly and always willing to help others.

Bawi Tha is a mature and dependable member of our class. He is often chosen to take on important responsibilities, whether it's checking the iPads, speaking on behalf of the class, or helping ensure things run smoothly. He works hard in every area of learning, asks thoughtful questions and contributes valuable ideas during classroom discussions.

What makes Bawi Tha truly special, however, is the way he treats others. He is always polite and respectful, uses his manners, and is quick to take others under his wing, offering support and encouragement whenever it's needed. He looks for the best in everyone and is generous with his compliments, helping those around him feel valued and included.

Every day, Bawi Tha demonstrates what it means to be a responsible, respectful and resilient learner—and he does it all with a big welcoming smile and a positive attitude.

Bawi Tha, we are incredibly proud of everything you contribute to our classroom and our school. Congratulations on being named Aussie of the Month. This is a well-deserved achievement, and Year 3A and your teachers couldn't be prouder of you.
