This Week at TeamKids
We had another exciting week at TeamKids, with a mix of active, creative and hands-on experiences across the program. Children enjoyed basketball, gymnastics, Yulunga Traditional Indigenous Games, science investigations, art and plenty of opportunities to contribute their own ideas. We also connected with school events including Hoop Time and Wakakirri.
Animal Club Began! 🐾
We were very excited to officially begin our new Animal Club this week!
Animal Club connected with Zoos Victoria’s Fighting Extinction work and gave children opportunities to learn about threatened Australian animals, conservation and sustainability.
Our first experience, Meet Our Fighting Extinction Animals, introduced children to a range of threatened species and gave them the opportunity to choose which animals they would most like to investigate further. Their interests and questions will help shape where Animal Club goes next.

Our Very First TeamKids Hero! 🌟
This week we are so excited to celebrate Zara B (Grade 4) as our very first TeamKids Hero!
A TeamKids Hero is someone who has earned all five of our TeamKids value badges - Fun, Genuine, Involved, Innovative and Remarkable - and continues to consistently show these values in the way they participate, help others and contribute to our TeamKids community.
Zara has shown time and time again that she lives these values through the way she includes others, gets involved, brings a positive attitude and is always willing to help. Reaching Hero status is a huge achievement, and we are incredibly proud of her!
