Rugby League
On Thursday, 13 August Mr Cook and Mr Jones accompanied a group comprising 13 U15 boys, 2 U15 girls, and 3 U13 boys to participate in the Northern NSW Knights Rugby League knockout competition held in Inverell.
This event provided an excellent opportunity for our students to engage in competitive play. Everyone demonstrated admirable sportsmanship, particularly as our U15 girls and U13 boys collaborated with students from other schools to form a combined team.
Netball School's Cup
On 5 August, Ms Green took our Year 8 girls to the Netball Schools Cup in Inverell. The perfect winter weather set the stage for an outstanding performance, with our girls playing seven games and achieving three victories and one tie. Well done to all players for their determination and team spirit!
Northwest Athletics
On July 31, representatives from THS took part in the Northwest Athletics trials held in Tamworth. Our students participated extremely well, and the following students have placed as follows:
- 1st in 14 Years High Jump: April Van Dyk
- 2nd in 14 Years 800m: Chelsea Thomas
- 1st in 16 Years Shot Put: Isaac Kirk
- 2nd in 16 Years Javelin: Isaac Kirk
- 2nd in 17+ Years 100m: Charlotte Nettle
- 2nd in 17+ Years 200m: Charlotte Nettle
- 1st in 16 Years Relay: Tayah Everson, Ruby Kirk, Pippa Koch, Chelsea Thomas
