Waverley Central District Athletics

On Monday 26th August, our school participated in the Waverley Central District Athletics Day at the Bill Stewart Athletic Track. It was a fantastic day filled with excitement, determination, and school spirit. We had 110 students competing for our school against the four other schools in our district, Glendal PS, Mount View PS, Pinewood PS and PLC. Our students competed with pride, demonstrating their best effort in every event.

The day was not just about winning, but also about celebrating our school spirit and encouraging one another. It was wonderful to see our students cheering on their peers, showing great sportsmanship, and enjoying the fun of athletics. The support from everyone made the day even more special. A huge thank you to the staff and volunteers who helped support the event, making the day a huge success.

I am delighted to share that 32 of our students finished in the top four for one or more of their events! These outstanding athletes will now progress to the Division Athletics on Wednesday 9th October.

Congratulations to all our competitors for their hard work and dedication. We look forward to cheering on our students at the Division Athletics!
