2D

By Kristy Adams

2D have been working hard to develop their figurative language skills through a recent English unit on Limericks. They applied similes, alliteration and onamatopoeia successfully to tell a short funny stories. Here are some samples of their wonderful learning:

Wilson

Once there was a spider who got trapped

Then he got out but got wrapped

He quickly ran and ran

Then went splat on the pan

Then saw the exit and gasped.

Mahika

There once was a big bee

Who lived in a small tree

And he ran splat into a man

Then he said "I love cans

And my favourite number is three".

Dev

There once was a talkative tree

He met a funky old bee

The bee tried to sting

But got trapped on a string

And the tree kept on talking with the bee

Vivienne

There was a kindly tart

That made a big cart

The month was May

So it played all day

And it said moo in Art
