4E

By Bee Wong

This term, Grade 4E embarked on an exciting journey into the world of biographies, focusing on Australian Aboriginal people and significant figures in the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) fields who have made a global impact. Students underwent the writing cycle of planning, researching, drafting, and publishing their biographies, showcasing their developing skills in writing and research.

In addition to their written biographies, the students also practised their public speaking and listening abilities. Each student chose a person to embody and wrote a speech from their point of view, offering a unique insight into the life and achievements of their chosen figure. This enabled them to deepen their understanding of the impact, and contributions made by these remarkable individuals, and also allowed them to practice speaking with confidence and clarity.
