Biodiversity Audit - Resource Smart Schools

The Waste Warriors recently assisted with running a biodiversity audit around the school grounds! Armed with clipboards, curiosity, and keen observation skills, students explored different areas of the school to identify plants, insects, birds, and other living things that share our environment.

The audit helped us discover just how much biodiversity exists right on our doorstep and highlighted ways we can make our school an even better habitat for local wildlife. From spotting busy pollinators to identifying native plants, our Waste Warriors showed fantastic teamwork and environmental leadership throughout the audit.

We are looking forward to celebrating National Tree Day next term on Friday 24th July and using it as an opportunity to get our students involved in planting some native plants in our garden beds. This will be the first step towards improving our biodiversity score as we work on our biodiversity module.
