JPPS Value - respect

One of the four JPPS values is respect. Respect is something we see lived out in many small but meaningful ways each day. A noticeable example of respect demonstrated by our students is the warm, polite manner in which they greet both adults and one another.

Whether it’s a friendly “good morning,” a smile, or taking the time to acknowledge others as they arrive, these simple gestures reflect a genuine culture of care and consideration.

I particularly enjoy witnessing this at the school gate in the mornings, where students consistently demonstrate kindness and respect as they begin their day.

Another example I was recently made aware of was three of our Level 6 students interacting with one of our Foundation students in the playground. The student was being assisted by his speech therapist and he was wanting to engage with the older students. The speech therapist reported the Level 6 students were very patient, answering repeated questions about one of the boys being on crutches.

These everyday actions help create a welcoming and inclusive environment, and I am very proud of the way our students embody this important value and the way our staff acknowledge and reward this behaviour.

Reminder - Student toilets

A reminder to all members of the community to please use the staff toilets in the admin building if you need facilities.

Adults must NOT use student toilets.

Have a wonderful weekend!
