Debating

Six students from Year 8 attended the Merri-Bek Future Debaters session at Pascoe Vale Girls School. Aalia, Fatima and Helayna argued that students should be required to learn a second language, whilst Ada, Nadine and Valora contended that humans should not be limited in exploring Mars to focus only on Earth. The students were provided with mentoring by Year 10 students from PVGS about how to construct their debate and then presented in front of an audience. Congratulations is due to Ada who won best speaker of her round!
