Grampians Year 12

OES Camp

During Week 5 the Year 12 Outdoor Ed. class travelled to the Grampians for our Grampians Experience.  Staying at Roses Gap Recreation Centre, we participated in some amazing fun experiences such as the Leap of Faith, the giant swing, abseiling and vertical playpen. Special mention to Matt Calvert and Mia Doyle for overcoming their fear of heights and having a go at some of the harder activities.

We drove to Grampians Olives and looked at examples of economic relationships with the Grampians.  We climbed Hollow Mountain and visited Aboriginal rock art sites at Ngamadjidj Shelter and Gulgurn Manja Shelter to demonstrate recreational and conservation relationships.  We visited McKenzie Falls and walked down to Beautiful Fish Falls and had a quick visit to Heatherlie Quarry.  The Year 12s were, as usual, a great group, fun-filled and enthusiastic about everything!  Many thanks to Tony Flavel for his help on the camp.
