Icypole Friday volunteer lead urgently needed
The PFA is seeking a new volunteer lead to take over coordination of Icypole Friday in terms 4 and 1. Icypole Friday will not start this term until a new volunteer lead is secured.
The previous Icypole Friday lead Sian Holm will be finishing up as a CPS parent at the end of this year, and we’re looking for someone to work alongside Sian this term and take over coordination fully from 2026.
The volunteer lead does not need to attend each Friday, as the PFA can help arrange volunteers via SignUp. The main role of the lead volunteer is to source and arrange deliveries of icypole supplies, and ensure we have enough each week.

Second-Hand Uniform Stall News
The Second Hand Uniform Stall is currently open each Friday from 3:15-3:45pm. However the stall will not open if it is raining. This is because clothes rails can’t be outside in the rain and it would block pathways to have them under the cover. And if all the clothes were inside, there would be no space for people to move around inside the shed.
We are also seeking volunteers to assist with the stall on Friday afternoons in October, as well as at the Prep Orientation on Wednesday 26th November. SignUp here: https://signup.com/go/rfQFDNp
Finally, we are seeking a donation of battery powered lights to hang inside the stall so volunteers don’t have to rely on torches. If you can assist, please email pfa@carnegieps.vic.edu.au
Mango orders open via Qkr
Our much-loved mango fundraiser is on again! For just $30 a box, you can receive delicious and juicy Kensington mangoes ready for the festive season! Orders are open now via Qkr and will close on Wednesday 29th October. Orders will be delivered to the school in early -mid December.
Current Mango Fundraiser Sian Holm is finishing up as a CPS parent this year and would love someone to assist her with this year so they continue this favourite fundraiser for 2026 and beyond. It’s a pretty low-key commitment, just liaising with the supplier, placing the order and then handing out orders in December.

Term 4 Book Club
Our final Scholastic Book Club catalogue for the year was sent home late last week and orders will close on Friday 24th October.
Remember, 15% of every purchase comes back to CPS in Scholastic Rewards to buy books for our school library and classrooms.

How do I order?
Orders are placed via Scholastic’s Linked Online Ordering Platform (LOOP). Remember to update your child/childrens class via Settings.
We unfortunately can't accept cash orders via the school.
When & how will I get my books?
Your books will be delivered directly to CPS and sent home with your child. They should arrive well before the end of term but this part is unfortunately outside of our control.
