Spring Carnival Wrap Up

Over $34k raised!

The PFA is thrilled to announce that our 2025 Spring Carnival and Art Show raised an incredible $34,352 to help enhance our school community.  The School Council will soon be consulting with the broader school community to get input as to how best spend the funds raised by the Spring Carnival and other recent PFA fundraisers.

Thank you to everyone involved!

A massive THANK YOU to our amazing school community, parent volunteers, teachers, families, students, sporting clubs and local businesses who came together to make the Spring Carnival & Arts Show such a success!

Whether you helped behind the scenes, ran a stall, baked goodies, performed, donated, or simply came along to soak up the fun, you all helped to make it a day to remember not only for our kids and our school, but also the wider Carnegie community.

We’d particularly like to thank:

  • 160+ parent volunteers who baked goods, set up & packed up, & manned stalls, plus those who donated items. The event could quite simply not have happened without you
  • All the teachers who came along on the day, especially those who were brave enough to do the dunk tank
  • Special shout out to Ms Langson & Mrs Pollard for all their hard work to bring the amazing art show to life
  • Thank you to our leadership team - Ms Roberts & Mrs Miller - for all your help in the lead up to the event and on the day, as well as our office & admin staff who did a huge amount behind the scenes (special shout out to Pip Sciffer for the huge amount of work you did on all the contracts)
  • Thank you to the creative students who ran stalls & performed on stage

So on behalf of the PFA, thank you to every student & family who came along - you all helped make the day one to remember!

Thank you to our 2025 Fete Committee

A day like the Spring Carnival doesn’t just happen. It was the result of months and months of hard work behind the scenes by a small group of tireless parent volunteers who gave up so much of their own time to make the day not only a successful fundraiser but an unforgettable day for our kids.

So a huge thank you to our 2025 Fete Committee for creating a day full of joy, laughter, and community spirit: Bart Wildash, Claire Edwards, Esther Gyorki, Ivy Thong, Jenn Needham, Kelly Wheeler, Krissie Singline, Laura Davies, Mandi Katzenstein, Monica Espinosa, Philadelphia Jackman, Sarah Abramson and Voula Malapanis.

Finally, every ship must have a captain, and for our Spring Carnival, that was undoubtedly Candice Hall. PFA President Bart Wildash had this to say about Candice’s extraordinary contribution:

“When the Olympic flame goes out, it waits for the right people to bring it back to life. That’s what you did for the CPS Fete, Candice.

CPS’ last proper fete was way back in 2019, when today’s Year Sixes were only in Prep, and the spirit and buzz of a school carnival hand almost entirely slipped from memory.

Candice, with the help of the PFA, you brought it back. You carried the torch and led our committee.  For many of our students and families, the Spring Carnival was their first real experience of the magic tradition that is a school fete.

And you didn’t just organise an event, you restored confidence in an event that builds community, creates stories, and gives our kids the kind of memories they’ll hold onto for years.

I hope in two years time you’ll feel like lifting that torch again, because what we achieved this year deserves to happen every two years. Candice, thank you for giving  CPS our Fete back.”

Thank you to our Sponsors

Finally, a big thank you to all our sponsors, donors and local business supporters, particularly our major sponsor Slater + Levin, along with our gold sponsors Eyedentity and Vision Radiology, and bronze sponsors Team Kids and Clarke Global Logistics.
