Vinnies Youth Corner

Welcome back to another year of living our mission through our support of Vinnies endeavours. 

For those new to the College, Vinnies Youth is open to anyone in our community to assist with raising funds, donating items and giving of their time to help those vulnerable in our society.  Lumen Christi has partnered with the Kelmscott Vinnies Conference supporting them with their work in the local community.  All activities are advertised through the daily notices and the newsletters.

Currently Kelmscott Vinnies has requested assistance in collecting small hygiene items to be delivered to homeless people and vulnerable residents. They have asked for donations of pocket tissues, lip balm, Band-Aids, toothpaste, single toothbrushes, sanitary products, travel size face wipes, small sunscreen, travel shampoo and conditioner.  If you are able to supply an item, send it in through homeroom. Thank you.

The Community Kitchen runs fortnightly during the term. The first one is next Wednesday afterschool from 3:10 until 4:30 pm in D block.

All are welcome to attend and help cook for the homeless and vulnerable.  The food we prepare is collected by Vinnies Kelmscott and distributed that evening through their Community Kitchen or the next morning to those sleeping rough.
