Canberra Tour 2025

On the 7th of December 2025, 65 students and 10 staff members jetted off to Canberra on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Over the course of a week we were fortunate to experience the Australian War Memorial, Parliament House, Questacon and the Australian Sports Institute amongst a host of other locations. The highlight by far was our trip to Government House where we were extremely lucky to not only meet the Governor General, Her Excellency Sam Mostyn, but were also able to witness the presentation of the Iraqi ambassador to a ceremonial guard and army band. An event that our very experienced bus driver assured us was not something he had ever witnessed in his long career.
Whilst the educational value of the tour cannot be overstated, with the High Court, Old Parliament House, and Parliament House being stand outs, it was the camaraderie, laughs and conversations in the dorms that will be most fondly remembered. Thank you to all the parents and guardians who supported the trip over the year, and to Mr Castiello, Mr McIntyre, Mrs Ryan, Mrs Ramsey, Mr Hamilton, Mrs Nickolai, Mr Oversby, Mrs Saftich and Mr Baker for all of their hard work over the course of the tour. Hear hear!
