Lara Secondary College Rugby Report: Victory Over Narre Warren College

Lara Secondary College's rugby team delivered a powerful and hard-fought performance, securing a dominant 56-7 victory against Narre Warren P 12 College. The match was a true test of endurance, skill, and teamwork, with both sides battling it out in the trenches.

From the very first whistle, Lara Secondary College showed their strength, fighting for every inch on the field. The team's defensive resilience was evident as they tackled fiercely, refusing to give Narre Warren any space to breathe. The forwards in particular played a crucial role, winning the physical battles in the ruck and maul, creating vital momentum for the team.

Despite the tough challenge, Lara’s attack was clinical, with quick ball movement and sharp running lines catching Narre Warren off-guard. The backs displayed excellent vision and passing, setting up multiple tries, while the forwards provided the necessary grunt work to maintain pressure. Each try was hard-earned, showcasing the grit and determination of the Lara players who refused to let up, even when the game was well in hand.

In the end, Lara Secondary College triumphed 56-7, a testament to their dedication and ability to win the battle in the trenches. This victory was not just about skill but about a collective spirit that shone through in every play. The team’s relentless effort and commitment were key factors in their success, and they will look to build on this result as they move forward in 2025 rugby season.

Stand out players of the day were Orlando Fifita who deservedly won ‘Player of the Day” with 3 tries and Kohen Tavita, Malachi Toleafoa as runners up.

Try of the Match: Was awarded to Declan Migao for his 62 metre try off the kick off! Not bad for a Prop forward..lol.

Well done to all players and coaches and staff for their efforts on and off the field. A fantastic team win!
