P&C Update

It was fantastic seeing some new volunteers helping out with the BBQ at the school disco on Friday night.  Apart from some of the repeat helpers like Matt S, Michael G, Ariel O, Jacob J and Monica W we were lucky to have a couple of Year 1 Mums Estelle and Rachel join us for the first time to help prepare and serve food for all the hungry disco dancers and their parents on the night. The next P&C BBQ will be at the federal election on May 3rd.

The major project funded by your P&C contributions and your fundraising, the Immersive Space, is moving forward and soon it will be out of planning phase and into the construction phase. Below are a couple of the items your children can expect to see in this nature themed play space.  The photos below are from Thornleigh West Public School where they have constructed something similar, but our design is getting inspiration from a wide range of schools and what they have done with various elements of an immersive space.

For those families new to the school you may not be familiar with the Fun Run we did as a fundraiser for this project, but Sara G was the driver behind that event and it raised a significant amount of funds to help move the Immersive Space forward. If you were at Roselea at the time, then this is a very tangible example of how the funds raised from that event are being put towards something tangible that will enhance the experience that your children get at our wonderful school.
