Catholic Education Week Celebration

Stella: On Friday of Week eight, ten grade six students were selected to participate in a Mass celebrating Catholic Education Week in

St Patrick’s Cathedral in Melbourne. We had an amazing time during the celebrations. There were students from every school in Melbourne - the cathedral was packed! After the Mass ended, we were invited to celebrate in Fitzroy Gardens.

Ria: There were many different schools that had been invited to participate. A few high school students showed their talent in a band or solo on stage. It was so loud, but awesome as well. All of our friends had such a good time goofing around together, and taking the trains there and back. It was one of the best school days I’ve ever had!

Stations of the Cross - Thursday 2nd of April

Gallery Image

The Stations of the Cross, also known as the Way of the Cross, is a devotion that reflects on Jesus’ final days on Earth - from being condemned to death to dying on the cross and being placed in the tomb.

The Stations of the Cross consist of a series of 14 artistic representations that typically line the interior walls of every Catholic Church. It’s often said that you must walk a mile in someone’s shoes to understand what they are going through. The goal of this devotion is to “walk” in Jesus’ shoes by praying and meditating on each of the events (stations) that Jesus experienced.

On Thursday 2nd of April, our school community will journey through our own Stations of the Cross. Each of the 14 stations will be created by a class, capturing key moments during Jesus’ journey to His death on Good Friday.

Parents and Carers are warmly invited into the school from 8.30am to 9am to participate in the Stations of the Cross, guided by your own child/ren.

We ask that you please remember this is a solemn occasion and Stations of the Cross is a special prayer in which you will be participating.

We look forward to seeing many of you on Thursday 2nd of April.

Invitation to Join Our Altar Server Ministry

Parents and Guardians are warmly invited to consider encouraging their child to join our renewed Altar Server Ministry.  Altar serving offers young people the opportunity to serve the parish and school community while growing in faith, responsibility, confidence, and teamwork.  Serving at the altar helps children develop a closer relationship with Christ and a strong sense of belonging within the Church, while also building positive life skills. The ministry is supported and supervised by a dedicated core team: Chris Lim, Joanne Nolan, and Jenny Marino, who ensure a welcoming, well-organised, and nurturing environment for all servers.

Parents, if your child is baptised and has received their 1st Holy Communion, we encourage you to invite your children to serve, helping them grow in faith while contributing meaningfully to parish life and their own.

For further information, please contact the parish or the school.
