Young Vinnies Update
Calling All Knitters and Crocheters!
As part of our Winter Appeal, St Vincent de Paul has invited our College community to help knit and crochet scarves and beanies for those in need during the colder months.
Through our Senior School Religious Education program, students will be visiting MercyCare Aged Care in Maddington. During these visits, several residents have volunteered to teach our students the skills of knitting and crocheting, creating a wonderful opportunity for intergenerational learning and community connection.
To support this initiative, we are seeking donations of wool. If you have any leftover balls of wool from previous projects, we would greatly appreciate your contribution. Donations can be dropped off at Student Services, Administration, or the B Block Staff Office.
Winter Blanket Appeal
We will officially launch our Winter Blanket Appeal next week following the return of our Year 11 and 12 students.
Keep an eye on the daily notices for details about where and when blankets can be donated. The appeal will conclude with a House Competition. Cartoni Cup points will be awarded to the winning House.
Thank you for helping us make a difference this winter.
