From the Principal

Many of our senior students have recently completed their exam period, while others have finalised their Externally Set Tasks (ESTs) or taken part in the Year 11/12 Work Skills and Work Placement programs, making for a busy and focused fortnight.

For some, this is a demanding time that calls for quiet courage: the willingness to persist, focus, and give one’s best effort over time. As psychologist Angela Duckworth highlights, achievement is often shaped less by innate ability and more by sustained application, where daily choices and habits meet self-belief. This is a powerful lesson to learn as a young person.

This period can bring pressure and worry for many students. In navigating these demands, taking care of one’s wellbeing is just as important as the work itself.

Importantly, this is not something students need to work out alone. Our teachers provide guidance, structure, and thoughtful feedback, helping students feel supported. Parents and caregivers play an equally vital role, offering encouragement, balance, and reassurance at home.

As this assessment period concludes, I would like to take a moment to acknowledge the collective effort across our community that helps build success for our students.

God Bless,
