Axl: ¨ In inquiry we have been learning about cultures, it has been amazing learning about different cultures¨.

Ethan: ¨In Religion we have been learning about baptism, I have enjoyed learning about it¨.

 Arzoey:¨ In writing we have been learning about homophones, It has been great learning about words that sound the same but don’t look the same.¨

Confirmation:

Last Thursday, eighteen of the year 5/6s received the Sacrament of Confirmation. We thank Father James for taking the time out of his night to come to the school and blessing the children with the gifts of the holy spirit. The candidates were very excited and were very thankful to Miss Ritoli, Mr Josh and Miss Lesa, for teaching the kids about Confirmation. Thank you to everyone that helped make this happen. Special thanks to Father Leo for being a wonderful Parish Priest to our school.

Reconciliation Week

Last week was Reconciliation week. The reason we acknowledge this week is because we are remembering the people who stood up and said sorry about the wrongs that our country has done to Aboriginal Australians. In 5/6 we read a story about Kevid Rudd’s apology. It is important to acknowledge Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islander people because they were the first Australians on this land and have been living on this land for thousands of years.
