Preppy pumpkin perfection!
What better way to warm up on a cold, rainy day than with a comforting bowl of homemade pumpkin soup?
Our talented sous chefs in Prep recently put their cooking skills to the test as they rolled up their sleeves, prepared all the ingredients and took part in every step of the cooking process.
The result? A cosy and delicious classroom creation to be proud of. Yum!
Stained glass windows | Year 2
Students in Year 2 have created beautiful stained glass window designs (pictured here), inspired by the intricate windows of the St Mary's Cathedral. We think they look fantastic displayed inside their classroom window!
Year 6 debating | Update
Last week, our convincing Year 6 debaters took part in an exciting interschools debate on the topic: “All students should learn another language.”
The affirmative team (Charlotte Cranage, Harper Bowerman and Sylvie Grundy) debated against The Hutchins School and delivered clear, confident arguments supporting the benefits of language learning.
The negative team (Miranda Dineley, Mia Wanandy and Hennie Butterworth-Barry) took on Corpus Christi Catholic School, presenting thoughtful and well-structured arguments challenging the idea.
After a passionate and well-structured debate, the affirmative team was awarded a win. Congratulations to all speakers for their teamwork and preparation, and for representing our school with pride, confidence and respect!
Meditation with Millie
Year 2 Wombats students had a very zen afternoon, sharing a calming moment with Millie during a short meditation, led by Mrs Collette. We are so glad we have our School Therapy Dog to help us stay centred and relaxed on busy winter days!
