Arts National Photographic Competition 2025

ArtsNational Hobart is again encouraging young photographers (aged 16-24) to enter the online 2025 Photographic Competition with the theme of “Pattern".

·      The 2024 theme is “Pattern” and this can be interpreted by the photographers in a wide variety of creative ways.

·      Each photograph must be accompanied by an artist’s statement that explains the background to, and intent of, their artwork.

·      Entries opened on Monday 9 June and close 5.00pm, Monday 21 September 2025.

·      Entries must be digital only

The finalists will be determined by a panel of experienced, professional Tasmanian photographers and the successful finalists will have their work displayed on the ArtsNational Hobart website.

The awards are:

$1500 (First Prize);

$750 (3 x Honourable Mentions) and

$1000 (Members Choice)
