PRIMARY NEWS

Welcome back to Term 3!

It has been fantastic to see our students return with energy and enthusiasm, ready to reconnect with friends and get straight back into their routines for Term 3.

Our staff have spent time preparing a range of engaging and motivating learning activities for the term ahead, both inside and outside the classroom. We are ready to dive into the learning and look forward to working together with you to support your child’s growth and progress over the coming weeks.

As we begin the term, our student focus under our Living Well, Learning Well rules for living is centred on being a learner - arriving each day ready to learn, wearing the correct uniform with pride, and bringing all the necessary equipment to succeed. When students take ownership of these simple habits, they set themselves and their classmates up for a productive and rewarding term ahead. We appreciate your support in helping students be successful in this by ensuring the correct winter uniform is worn with pride and stationery supplies have been replenished.

Good Luck to the students who are representing in extra curricular and academic activities in the coming weeks.

Term 2 AP Living Well Learning Well Awards

Our focus during Term 2 was “I am a Learner.” There was an emphasis on students displaying a calm and respectful presence to help others around them to learn because manners matter.

Congratulations to the following students who received the Term 2 LWLW Awards and to the students who are always striving to do their best!

Family Conferences

Kindergarten to Year 6 teachers will hold Family Conferences on Tuesday, August 11, and/or Wednesday, August 12. These sessions offer families the opportunity to speak with class teachers about their child’s Semester One Report and progress so far this year. Held in the school hall, each appointment is 10 minutes in duration.

Bookings can be made in Compass and a notice will let you know when they are open. To allow staff time to prepare for these individualised discussions, bookings will close Friday, August 7. After this time, please contact the office to help arrange a mutually convenient alternative. Unfortunately, ‘drop-in’ meetings cannot be accommodated.

Families who have been contacted to make arrangements for their son or daughter’s Personalised Plan meeting will not require a Family Conference meeting.

Grandparents day

We look forward to welcoming grandparents this Thursday for a special Grandparents Day celebration. The morning will begin with a liturgy at 9:30 am, followed by a shared morning tea with their grandchildren. Guests will then have the opportunity to visit classrooms before heading to the library to browse and enjoy our Book Fair together.

100 Days Older, 100 Days Wiser!

Kindergarten is excited to celebrate the milestone of 100 Days of School this Friday! In just 100 days, our students have grown in confidence, developed new skills and formed new friendships.

To mark the occasion, they will enjoy a fun-filled day of learning with activities based around the number 100, including creative challenges, games and counting activities. It's a wonderful opportunity to celebrate how much our youngest learners have achieved since their first day of school.
