Year 10 students attended the annual Careers Camp in Melbourne last week. Students visited a variety of industries such as the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Kangan Automotive Centre of Excellence. Some students participated in a mock court session at the Old Melbourne Gaol while others attended careers-focussed tours at SeaLife, the Botanic Gardens and the Zoo.






Most students attended the Collingwood v Hawthorn game. Some went indoor rock climbing or ten pin bowling and laser tag.






Students visited Federation University on the way to Melbourne and some had a second university visit at University of Melbourne and Newman College.
Students learnt how to use public transport including a challenge task on the new Melbourne Metro.
Year 10 students have been on work experience this week. This opportunity along with the careers camp are opportunities to start thinking about pathways and subject selection for Year 11 and 12 which takes place later in the year.
