Junior School District & Divison Cross Country

On Friday 8th May, a team of 25 students travelled to Albert Park to compete in the District Cross Country Carnival. The wet and muddy conditions made running very challenging, however all students showed wonderful perseverance and determination throughout the day. Every student competed strongly, with many improving on their times from our recent House Cross Country event.

Congratulations to Chloe and Alina who both finished in 1st place, Jemimah who placed 2nd and Tom who achieved 3rd place in their respective events. These are fantastic results and we are very proud of their efforts.

A big thank you to Mrs Wiggett and Mr Jellie for giving up their time to marshal out on the course in the rain. Your support and assistance were greatly appreciated.

On Friday 15th May, seven students proudly represented our school at the Junior School Division Cross Country held at Albert Park. Over 400 students competed on the day, travelling from Portland through to Hamilton, Camperdown and many towns in between, making for a very competitive event.

All students demonstrated excellent determination and resilience throughout their races, with many improving on their times from last week’s event.

Congratulations to all students who competed, and a special congratulations to Chloe for finishing 1st, Tom for finishing 4th and Jemimah for finishing 7th. These outstanding results have earned them progression through to the Greater Western Regionals, which will be held in just over a week’s time.

We are incredibly proud of all students for the way they represented our school and wish Chloe, Tom and Jemimah the very best at the next level of competition.
