IGNITE Program

Third round of applications for 2026 are STILL BEING ACCEPTED.

We still have capacity in our year 7 IGNITE cohort for 2026.

If you are interested in applying for our Gifted and Talented Education special interest program, we would love to hear from you.

Initially, we will require a small package of student data that identifies giftedness. From there, we will reach out for a chance to meet you, either in person or remotely.

Registration for the ACER Higher Abilities test is now open

The ACER Higher Ability Test gathers evidence of innate potential and ability in the areas of:

• Reading comprehension

• Mathematical reasoning

• Abstract thinking

• Written expression

Location: Aberfoyle Park High School

Date: Saturday 21 February 2026

Time: 8:30am - 12:30pm

Cost: $150 administration fee

Congratulations, Sjoerd – Premier’s Anzac Award

On Thursday 20 November, Sjoerd V, a year 10 IGNITE student, was awarded a place in the Premier’s Anzac Awards. Sjoerd is one of 20 students from across South Australia to receive this recognition.

As part of the program, Sjoerd will travel to Paris and the Western Front in 2026 to visit sites of historical significance and represent our school community.

Congratulations to Sjoerd on this achievement. We look forward to hearing about the experiences and insights gained from this journey.
