Main Campus - Year 4
Dear Lovely Year 4 Families,
And just like that, Term 3 is a WRAP! What a busy and wonderful term we have had! It has been fantastic to see the students continue to grow, learn and have fun together.
A special shout-out and huge thank you to all of our wonderful parent helpers this term. We really appreciate the time you have given to support our campus, animals and our students.
We had some very exciting news this term when Pebbles laid an egg! She’s an older chook and hasn’t laid in a very long time. The students were absolutely fascinated and loved checking in on her and learning more about our feathered friends. The new chickens are laying more and more as the weather warms up.
As part of our Inquiry unit, the students have been busy giving old T-shirts a new life by turning them into reusable bags. They also wrote their own procedural texts explaining how to make their bags. It has been wonderful seeing their creativity and practical skills come together!
In Numeracy, we have been learning all about time and location. The students have been developing their ability to read and interpret times, as well as using positional language and exploring location. They enjoyed their mini-project on the Loch Ness Monster, where they had to create a holiday itinerary.
And finally, our little Coconut is growing up! She is getting bigger and stronger and is almost ready to be held by the students. We are all very excited for the day when the students can finally have some hands-on cuddles!
Friendly reminder: PLEASE send in the medical forms for camp as soon as you can. These can be dropped off at the office or given to the classroom teacher.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support throughout the term. I hope everyone has a wonderful and well-deserved break. Enjoy some time together, have a rest, and we look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for Term 4!
