What an adventure our Book Week Parade was!

What better way to celebrate our love of books than with a little musical magic? This year, our staff formed the John Paul II Symphony Orchestra and treated our students to a very special soundscape inspired by the much-loved picture book We’re Going on a Bear Hunt! 

A huge thank you to Mrs K for organising this fantastic musical experience for everyone. 

We were also treated to a spectacular parade of costumes, with students bringing a vast variety of book characters and stories to life. A special mention goes to a group from Grade 3 Blackwood who came as Splinter, Donatello, Raphael, Leonardo, and Michelangelo from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! From much-loved classics to favourite modern characters, it was wonderful to see our school community celebrating the joy of reading in such a creative way.

A special shoutout goes to Grade 2 Wattle, who won the class Book Week award! This incredible class has borrowed a whopping 1016 books since the beginning of the year. We are also thrilled to announce our major trophy winners: a massive congratulations to Mel in 2 Wattle for taking home the Junior Trophy, and to Amelia B for winning the Senior Trophy!
