Grade 1 Pizza-Making Fun

Our Grade 1 students have been learning how to write a procedural text. This week they explored the steps involved in making a pizza. They wrote about how to make their own mini pizzas using English muffins, pizza sauce, cheese, ham and pineapple.

First, students wrote the steps in the correct order, using adverbs to add detail to their steps. After writing their procedures, they followed their steps and made a pizza themselves!

The students had lots of fun creating their own pizzas and were very proud to eat their delicious creations. It was a wonderful hands-on way to practise their writing while learning that procedural texts can be used for real-life activities.

State Netball Playoffs

Date: September 9th 2026

What a fantastic achievement to make it all the way to the State Netball Playoffs! Our ten talented Grade 5 and 6 girls worked incredibly hard through each stage of the competition, and their determination and teamwork continued to shine on the final day.

The team won two of their three round games, securing their place in the 1st Semi-Final. Although they were unfortunately defeated in the semi-final, they should be incredibly proud of their efforts and everything they achieved throughout the competition.

Congratulations, girls, on an outstanding accomplishment! Your hard work, commitment and team spirit were fantastic to see.
