Every year, the Department of Education seeks feedback from families about schools. This information can be used to measure how effectively schools are supporting students. It is important that we get a cross-section of families contributing to this, so that we have a balanced perspective. I encourage all families to consider submitting a response. Student Public Speaking Competition
Please see the following information regarding the upcoming Public Speaking Competition to be held at the start of Term 4.
All students in Years 3 to 6 are encouraged to participate but it is not compulsory. Speeches will need to be prepared and rehearsed at home by students.
Renewing our School Vision
As mentioned in the last newsletter, we are embarking on updating our School Vision to guide us now and into the future at RNPS. This statement will help to guide and influence decision making and resourcing throughout the school to tailor student education to the hopes and aspirations of our community.

CCTV & School Security
As mentioned in our newsletter on Friday August 7, we have been seeking support from the Department of Education to install a CCTV System to increase the security of our school grounds and buildings, especially during school holiday breaks. I am pleased to announce that we have been successful in these efforts and over the first week of holidays, workers will be installing the system.
Further information will follow from School Council next term but don't be alarmed if you notice something different when you pass through over the holidays.
As always, we encourage any community members to contact Police directly (000 or 131 444) if they witness dangerous or anti-social behaviour on school grounds and to remind your children (especially older ones) to make sensible decisions when exploring the neighborhood.
Have a safe and restful break from school over the next 2 weeks. We look forward to having everyone back for a jam-packed Term 4 with the RNPS Family Festival as our highlight on October 24.
