Calling Year 12 Students... Scholarships!

Some scholarships are now open. The Fogarty Foundation and Winthrop Leadership Scholarships at UWA are two of these!

I would encourage all our Year 12 students to explore the vast range of options available. Some open later in the year, as with Curtin University in July. Apply for the scholarship you are eligible for – you will not be offered more than one scholarship, however applying for all relevant scholarships will increase your opportunities for receiving a scholarship.

Think about what you are passionate about and participate in activities outside of the classroom. For merit based scholarships, universities look for well-rounded students who are involved in activities and programs that are meaningful to you. This will make your application stand out!

Write a good reference. A detailed reference can provide vital information about your motivation, leadership potential and key attributes. A good reference is often vital for a competitive scholarship application.
