OSHC at Yarrabah School

Happy snaps from TheirCare’s OSHC program at Yarrabah School!

It’s been wonderful to see many of our students using the OSHC program for after school care in 2021. Interest has continued to grow and we are expecting the service to be at capacity most days in 2022.

During weeks 8 and 10 of Term 4 Eva Dell-Neel visited the service and facilitated two art sessions. The children enjoyed painting their own canvases which will be joined together to make one collective piece of art. Eva is a former parent of the school and facilitates art sessions. She is brilliant with adults and children alike. We are happy to announce that Eva will be returning twice per term in 2022.

It’s exciting to think that the Summer school holiday program will be starting in less than three weeks. Up to 40 children are booked to attend each day following interest from 63 families. Spaces were allocated according to the priority of access policy. Booking forms for the Term 1 holiday will be sent home in weeks 6-7.

The 2021 OSHC program ends on Thursday, December 16th. There will be no service running on Friday, December 17th. The holiday program begins on Tuesday, January 4th and ends on Tuesday, January 25th.

I will be working on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of weeks 1, 2 and 3 of the holiday program and on Tuesday, January 25th on the final week, for families wishing to contact me for any reason.
