DANCE CONCERT

On Friday 3 December the PE Department organised a recess dance concert hosted by Taylor from the Nikki Visaj Movement.

Hundreds of students flocked to the A1 stage to participate in and watch the performance. It was a lovely way to end the week and bring the school community together. Taylor took students through some hip hop moves, and taught them some routines before they broke out into some solos where students displayed their amazing acrobatic and dancing skills.

We are looking forward to move concerts and raising school spirit in 2022.

GYMNASTICS INCURSION

Over the last few weeks some of our Year 7 students were treated to a Gymnastics workshop delivered by Ashleigh Brennan. Ashleigh is a 2 x Olympian having competed at the 2008 & 2012 Olympics, she is also a dual Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist and 3 x World Champion Team member.

Her inspiring workshop took students through a variety of activities to develop their gymnastics skills. Students enjoyed learning how to complete a variety of rolls, handstands, flight activities and beam work. Having an Olympic Gymnast take our students through these activities and discuss her incredible journey through sport will be a moment our students will treasure and be inspired by.
