Mini Vinnies Initiative 

On Wednesday 16th September, members of our Stella Maris staff alongside a group of Year 4 students and their family members delivered our school donations of food to St Brigid's Church in Mordialloc. On arrival, they were met by Peter, Gayle and Michael who are members of the Mordialloc SVDP Conference. The students, staff and family members helped to move the donations into a storage space and then they went to see the pantry which is used to store grocery items which are distributed to those in need in the area.  

The students spent time talking to the volunteers and were keen to ask lots of questions about their role within the SVDP conference. They were also interested in finding out about what more they can do as a Mini Vinnies group to support those in need in different ways. 

A huge thank you to the staff, students and families who helped to deliver the donations. It was a wonderful, and very moving, way to truly see our ‘Mini Vinnies’ and our Stella Maris community make connections within the wider community to enact discipleship in action.
