EMPOWERED WOMEN IN TRADES EXCURSION

👷‍♀️🛠️Year 8 Workshop

On Thursday, November 13th, eight Year 8 students attended the Yarra Ranges Tech School to take part in a workshop delivered in partnership with Empowered Women in Trades. ✨  

Our students enjoyed learning new skills, meeting inspiring women, and exploring a range of career pathways. They heard from women currently working in trade industries, received tips on applying for jobs , toured the Trades Centre at Box Hill Institute’s Lilydale Lakeside campus, and participated in hands-on activities in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.

Students even built their own planter boxes 🌱 and created LED torches 🔦 - an exciting and engaging experience for all involved! 🎉
