ON THE TENNIS COURTS

🎾 Year 8 Boys EMR Tennis
On November 10, the clouds may have been gathering over Ringwood, but that didn’t stop our Year 8 boys from giving their all and playing some determined, consistent tennis at the Eastern Metropolitan Region competition!
- Round 1: vs Ashwood - a strong opponent who took the win 4–2.
- Round 2: vs Mount Waverley - on the clay courts, fighting bravely before going down 6–0.
- Round 3: vs Rowville (undefeated) - who proved to be the better team on the day, winning 6–0.
Despite the results, the boys showed outstanding attitude, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the day!
A huge thank you to Ms Smith and Mr Huby for supporting the team - and well done, boys! Bring on next year!
🎾 Year 8 Girls EMR Tennis
What a day on November 14! The weather gods were shining down on us at Ringwood for the Year 8 EMR Girls’ Tennis competition.
- Round 1: vs Auburn -A nail-biter! Locked at three sets each, the girls took the win on countback thanks to their skill and determination .
- Round 2: vs Mount Waverley - A tough match. The team gave it their all but couldn’t quite match their opponents’ ability.
- Round 3: vs Rowville - The eventual winners of the day. Our girls fought hard but faced some very experienced players.
A BIG shout out to the team and Mr Hourihan for a fun and successful day! We can’t wait to see you all in intermediate tennis next year!
