The OLF Cross Country Trial is being held on Friday 20th March (Week 8, Term 1). The trial is for students aged 8 years - 13 years. There are two race divisions:
Competitive
Grade
Please complete the registration form if your child would like to participate in the competitive division. Students must be able to complete the following distance in a timely manner and without walking or stopping:
8/9 years: 2 km
10 years: 2 km
11 years: 3 km
12/13 years: 3 km
Nominations close Friday 6th March.
All other students in Years 3 - 6 will participate in a fun run on the day with their grade.

Our OLF swim team delivered an unforgettable performance at the Conference 3 Swimming Carnival! Held at the Sutherland Leisure Centre on the 9th of March, the day was filled with excitement, determination, and some truly standout moments.Even with the rain coming down, our students showed incredible resilience and team spirit. Nothing could dampen their enthusiasm.
We’re proud to share that 28 students successfully completed their events, and an impressive 20 swimmers have qualified for the next round. Their hard work, discipline, and courage in the pool were evident in every race.

The carnival also saw several exceptional individual results, highlighting the talent and dedication within our school community. Every student represented OLF with pride, positivity, and sportsmanship.

On 11 February, Jude G, Luka L, Henry R and Steve Z proudly represented our school at the Conference 3 Football (Soccer) Trial held at the Ridge Sporting Complex. Each student gave their absolute best on the field, demonstrating determination, teamwork and a fantastic attitude throughout the day. Congratulations to Luka, Henry and Steve who will progress to the next round of trials held on the 9th of March. We wish them all the best, Congratulations boys!








On Monday 16th February, Keria C, Fleur L, Kayla M, Ava P, and Marni T proudly represented our school at the Conference 3 Netball Trial. The girls did an outstanding job, demonstrating great skill, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and the way they represented our school community. Well done, girls!










Flynn B, Atticus I, Hunter S and Declan Y represented our school at the Rugby League Conference 3 Trial held on the 17th of February. The boys showed fantastic determination, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day, giving their very best effort in every game. We are extremely proud of the way they represented our school. Well done, boys!


SOLO DANCE EISTEDDFOD


If your child wishes to enter a solo dance in the Sydney Catholic Schools Eisteddfod, please ensure they are registered by visiting Sydney Catholic Schools Eisteddfod and creating an account.
Registrations close on Wednesday 18 February 2026 at 5:00pm.
Solo Performance Dates:
The Solo Performance Schedule will be available EOD Monday 9 March 2026:

| Location | All performances will be held at Southern Cross Catholic College Burwood - 17 Comer St, Burwood, NSW

| Costume | Costuming is optional but must preserve the dignity of the performer - no midriffs or cut away tops. High cut costumes (cut out from the leg to the waist) are not acceptable and will receive point deductions.
|
| Music | Performances must not exceed 3 minutes, and can not contain swearing or slurs.
|
